City of Poughkeepsie Police received a report from Adrianna Wallace, a 17-year-old city resident on Feb. 27 , reporting that she had observed threats made through the social media site Snapchat, which stated, in part, “Poughkeepsie High School students take your pick because I’m coming for you on Thursday March 1st” accompanied by a list of student names, which included her own name, and a picture of five guns, police said.

Police began an investigation into this threat with assistance from the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the City of Poughkeepsie School District, and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

Wallace, the original reporting person, was arrested and charged with: making a terroristic threat, a Class D D felony, and making a punishable false written statement, a misdemeanor, all in connection with the Feb. 27 posting on Snapchat and reporting that threat to the police.

Wallace was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
